Handcrafted pottery inspired by nature, place and the feminine.
Divine Earth is the pottery practice of Coromandel artist Charlene Scott. Each piece is handmade in reverence for Papatūānuku, drawing inspiration from the rhythms of nature, mythology and the feminine. Through sculpture and pottery, the work invites a deeper connection with the Earth and ourselves.
Created in Reverence for Papatūānuku
Every piece begins with clay, but its true inspiration is the living world. Divine Earth is an expression of gratitude for Papatūānuku—the Great Mother who sustains us—and an invitation to reconnect with nature through handmade pottery. These works are created slowly, honouring the beauty of imperfection, the stories carried in traditional myth, the whenua and the quiet strength of the feminine.
